Bodywork in Sendai
for people who find it hard to relax.
Iyuru is a small private bodywork clinic in Nagamachi. We work with persistent physical tension, difficulty relaxing, shallow breathing, sleep-related discomfort, and physical tension that becomes stronger with anxiety or panic.
First visit
First visit: ¥4,000
The full first visit usually takes about 60–90 minutes, including conversation, physical assessment, treatment, and a brief review of how your body responds.
About Iyuru
We do not treat everyone with the same routine.
People can use the same words — “stiff shoulders,” “autonomic nervous system problems,” “anxiety,” or “poor sleep” — while their bodies behave very differently. We begin with what you actually feel and how your body responds.
Bodywork practitioner since summer 2008. Each session is handled by the same practitioner, so changes after the previous visit can be compared rather than starting over every time.
Japanese practitioner profile →Treatment
We look for tension through movement.
Iyuru uses a gentle approach called LTM (Latent Tension Method).
- 01You make a small movement with an arm, leg, or another part of the body.
- 02The practitioner adds light resistance rather than forcing the joint or stretching aggressively.
- 03We observe whether extra effort or unintended movement appears elsewhere in the body.
- 04We repeat and compare the response, looking for movement with less unnecessary tension.
Strong pressure and forceful “cracking” adjustments are not the main part of our sessions. If something feels painful, frightening, or uncomfortable, we can reduce the stimulus, change position, pause, or stop.
Sleep, breathing comfort, fatigue, and how quickly tension returns can be useful information for the next session. Immediate change in the treatment room is not the only thing we look at.
